Let the adventure begin!

Our little thinkers will begin their "fun-schooling" adventure on August 31, 2009 - we can't wait!

I'm very excited to use Heart of Dakota's Curriculum for both kids this year!

D will be using Little Hearts for His Glory (LHFHG). It's laid out for every day of the week and I'm so excited to have a curriculum with minimal planning but with lots of reading and hands-on activities as we LOVE to read & move! For math, he will be using Math*U*See Alpha and he loves the blocks - we've used them off/on throughout the past year when we worked through the Primer level. For Phonics/Reading we'll finish up Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons and then move on to Phonics Pathways having him read lots of easy reader books along the way.

K will be using Little Hands to Heaven (LHTH). It's also laid out for every day of the week. My plan is to go through it once this year with the younger resources and then possibly go through it again next year with the older resources...we'll see. :o)

C doesn't have a curriculum obviously, but will be wiggling, drooling & cooing while the other two do their work. Should make for an interesting 1st year of fun-schooling! ;o)
