D&K came down with a 24 hour stomach-bug Monday night and Tuesday morning. We didn't do school Tuesday, but made it up on Wednesday and then finished Unit 25 the rest of the week. We had planned to have friends over on Wednesday to help us celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but because the kids were sick the day before I postponed it until Thursday.
Our friends were able to come over and D&K had fun playing with them, making rainbow cookies, eating green mint milkshakes and painting shamrocks with the "dot markers" (bingo daubers) as they call them. It was fun. We also read a book from the library about St. Patrick being a missionary to Ireland. D was excited to hear the story again since we had studied him a few weeks ago. :o)
