Letter "R" & Martin Luther

We began Unit 22 for both kids yesterday.  K's letter is "R" and she's continuing to learn about Jesus' ministry this week.  Today's story was about John baptizing Jesus.  To go along with the story she completed her "blue" color page for her color book (since water in the river is blue) - cutting out blue pictures from magazines and adding a few blue stickers.  She also did her "Hide & Seek" R paper - finding all the R's with a purple marker this week.  She makes me laugh!

D's continuing to work on his math facts and today we used his flashcards and the flat marbles with Bingo number cards we made awhile ago.  He filled his card first though it still took him a little while to figure out his facts.  We'll keep working on it...

D's learned about Martin Luther the first two days this week.  There were a few activities to go with his story, but we didn't take time to do them since yesterday my parents came and today my mom was here.  D would much rather play with Grandma than do school.  So we covered the basics and didn't do any of the "extra fun" things since Grandma was taking care of it. :o)
